How to become a member of the club

How do I become a member?

Our club has two membership levels. Every new applicant always joins the first level first.

First level

The application for the first level is made online. Applicants are accepted by a vote of all first- and second-level members. The membership fee for this level is 30 (thirty) leva a year.

Once you are accepted at this level you will get:

  • A personal club card (which gives you discounts with the club's partners)
  • e-mail: user@vwclub.bg
  • Access to some sections of the forum's members' area
  • The chance to be elected as a forum moderator

This level lets you see for yourself how our club works and, if you wish, become part of organising the club's events.

Second level: member of the association "Volkswagen Fan Club of Bulgaria"

Anyone who has been an active first-level member for at least one year and has the time, the will and the means to contribute actively to the club's development may apply for the second membership level. The application must be in writing and is handed in person, together with a motivation letter, to a member of the Management Board. The application is first discussed at a Management Board meeting. Once approved, it is put to a vote at the General Assembly of the association's members. You must be present when your application is voted on. The membership fee for this level is 50 (fifty) leva a year.

If you are accepted, in addition to what the first level gives you, you will get:

  • A personal membership card
  • The highest discounts with the club's partners
  • The right to take part in the association's General Assemblies
  • The right to make decisions on the club's development and future
  • The right to take part in running the club
  • Access to all sections of the forum's members' area
  • The chance to be elected as a forum administrator

More information

  1. Club membership becomes active once the membership fee for the relevant level is paid; it is due within one month of acceptance.
  2. The club's budget for each calendar year is approved by a decision of the association's General Assembly (all second-level members).
  3. Ongoing reporting on the income and expenses of club funds is done in the relevant section of the forum's members' area, open to second-level members.
  4. Every member of the "Volkswagen Fan Club of Bulgaria" can access club funds by first presenting a purpose and a financial plan to the Management Board, and afterwards a report.

It is a platform for making ideas happen together. Responsibilities and duties outweigh rights and privileges.
